Tropicana

An existing rock formation defines the centre of this house in Koh Phangan. Preserved within a courtyard, it becomes the point around which the home is organised, establishing a direct relationship between architecture and landscape. White plaster, polished concrete and locally sourced teak form a restrained material palette. Large openings and pivoting glass doors connect the living spaces to the outdoors, welcoming daylight and sea breezes. Bedrooms open towards gardens while maintaining privacy, and a sunken lounge and infinity-edge pool extend the spaces for gathering. The courtyard gives the house a shared focus. Throughout the day, shifting light reveals the contrast between the rock’s irregular surface and the precise geometry of the surrounding walls.

Type: New development Area: 150 sqm Year: 2025 WIP Location: Koh Phangan, Cheluklam, Thailand
